Hillary Clinton's backers are setting up a 527 to smear Barack Obama in Ohio as Jake Tapper reports:
ABC News has learned that a group of Democratic politicos have set up a new independent 527 organization called the American Leadership Project (ALP) with the express purpose of helping Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, beat Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, in Ohio, and possibly Texas and Pennsylvania as well.[...]
ALP has developed three ads aimed at pushing the idea that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, is a talker and not a doer -- the ads are called "If speeches could solve problems" -- and they will contrast Obama and Clinton on issues of importance to middle class voters, such as the economy, health care, and the mortgage crisis.
You've got to love this if you're a McCain supporter. McCain clearly needs to drive up Barack Obama's negatives if he's going to defeat him in November and this 527 will do that in the crucial swing-state of Ohio without costing him a dime.
It's a sad testament to how Hillary's campaign has crumbled that she would resort to attempting to tear down Obama's character in what will almost certainly be a losing campaign at this point. Her negative attacks against Obama for chickening out of a debate in Wisconsin and plagiarizing totally backfired on her in Wisconsin so it's mystifying that she thinks it will work in Ohio.
Oh, and spare me the comments that her campaign has no connection whatsoever with this 527. We all know that behind the scenes these people are all communicating and coordinating efforts to rescue her campaign from oblivion.

i noticed you didn't actually defend obama against the accusation that he talks a good talk but there isn't any there there.
and is it really smearing obama to note that he lacks good solutions to problems? i mean, i've read his websites and all i can find are feel good fluff and bad ideas.

Don't worry I'll bury you in the details so much you'll be bored to death.

Dick Morris who was Bill Clinton's 'right hand' man, makes a good case that as far as being the 'solution' person Hillary's actual record has been very uninspiring.

larkin, until such time that anyone can actually list some of obama's accomplishments or qualifications, it is not a smear to question them.
i'm glad that you think you will be able to bore me to death with details. at some point in the future. when that day comes, i *may* just stop questioning his qualifications. depends on what is actually in that list.
until that day arrives, i will continue to say that obama doesn't have the juice to play in this game.
