Absolutely!
One of the problems she has is that she is seen as taking herself too seriously, and this clip helps a lot with that.

Of course, after seeing the clip I recalled that she is paying off the "Sopranos" finale, and took the role of Tony Soprano, ruthless mob boss.
Maybe not such a good choice, after all?

"Slick"??? I watched a few seconds of the video. (Why waste more time?) It has something to do with something called "soap-ranos"? Or maybe it's sopranos. Whatever. I did once watch a few minutes of some dumb-shit tv-thingy about something called "soap-ranos" (or maybe it was "sopranos"), in which all the characters were nothing but dumb-shits who could not formulate a standard English (not even an standard 'merican') sentence without a "fuck", or its lesser-or-greater-equivalent. These people -- as portrayed in this series (the one episode I saw), were not only not-interesting -- they were downright repellent, repulsive. Nor was the story-line at all interesting. It was just total mindless repugnant profanity-violance. And I'm supposed to think that Senator Clinton has done something clever by associating herself with that unspeakable garbage? She has, limitlessly, debased herself. Lord Almighty, can't anyone but me recognize putrid garbage?

Ben, I may be the only legal resident of the United States who has never seen a single episode of The Sopranos, so I'm not sure I'm really qualified to respond.
But, what the heck, it's never stopped me before . . . for whatever it's worth, the show assumed some sort of iconic status in the popular culture. And when we speak of "pop culture" today, we're really speaking about the ONLY widespread culture. Is most of that garbage? Well, yes, of course it is. But it's still there, and Hillary capitalized on it in a mildly humorous way, making her seem less like a cold and heartless witch who changes the color of monkey scrota (see the main page for details).

Ben said lot's of things including "...they were downright repellent, repulsive..." in regards to the sopranos.
And he's right. They were supposed to be. That's what it was all about. Some people liked it for that reason (because they themselves associate with it), others of us watched it for the voyeuristic joy of seeing something we could never imagine. And in the end, Tony and the rest of his family showed us a lot about ourselves (good and bad, but mostly bad). It looked like putrid garbage, but it really was so much more. (I'll contradict myself here and also admit that it was a lot of David Chase's ego too.) Anyway...
Hillary's ad is supremely sophomoric and dripping symbolism. It's amusing how bad it is, and intriguing to wonder how much influence or understanding Hillary had in the symbolism.
The worst part however is that we know at the ending to Hillary's commercial that she didn't take a pill to the temple...
