Hillary Clinton's struggle for the Democratic nomination reminds her of Harriet Tubman's underground railroad. No, seriously! From the Mouth of the Potomac:
First the microphone cuts out part way through Clinton's speech. When it is restored she said:
"There may be some bumps along the road! You know this reminds me of one of my favorite American heroines, Harriet Tubman. For when she made it to freedom after having been a slave and she got to New York and she could have been so happy to just stay at home and just breathe a big sigh of relief but she kept going back down South to bring other freed slaves to freedom. And she used to say, 'No matter what happens, keep going.' So we're going to keep going until we take back the White House!"
Read the whole post at the link above. Not much you can say about this one, is there? I mean, sure, I see how running for President and raising money by the bale and staying in four-star hotels and eating at four-star restaurants and flying 1st class and being protected by team of Secret Service agents is almost identical to risking your life smuggling escaped slaves hundreds of miles in the dark of night and depending on others being willing to risk their own lives and freedom to help you - can't you?
Frankly, I've always imagined Hillary as something of a modern-day Harriet Tubman. Either that, or a modern-day Countess Bathory.
Hat-tip to Ace for the pointer.

Shrillary would compare herself to "The Happy Hooker" if she thought it would further her quest. She wouldn't make any money, probably have trouble giving it away, but she would make the comparision.
Not old enough to remember The Happy Hooker by Z Hollender (sp) google it.
