Our friend BDP was disappointed the blogger call didn't involve more policy specifics. In this respect, Giuliani's people are following the McCain campaign: reaching out to the blogosphere, but not breaking any news here first.
Romney - BDP is sweet on him, but that could be just to annoy Pat Hynes - is more specific, but of course the guy who is single digits across the board HAS to try to wean some support from the others by his conservative policies (however recent their vintage).
We are still a full Presidential cycle away from bloggers playing as big a role as Old Media. The influence is growing, true, but tadpoles aren't frogs until they lose their tails. [/Dan Ratherspeak].

As soon as bloggers start asking the tough questions of Rudy, Rudy will sink in the polls. That is, if his actual positions get any publicity. So far, all I hear about it was a great leader he will be on the war on terror.
Sure, he will be a great leader on the war on terror. Stop. Cricket. Chirp.
There are more issues, the war on terror is the most important one. To my mind, McCain, Rudy and Romney all do well in the war on terror, so let's see about the rest.

First, the Ron Paul run is just silly. These lower tier candidates cannot win a general election. So, I admire the blog calls, the use of technology by Mitt and Rudy G. McCain is through. So, so far we have 2 candidates who are using the Alternative Media to get their word out. Good for them. If Fred T or Newt get in, which I do not expect, especially Newt, they too I know will use the Alternative Media technology. I would love to see a Rudy G-Thompson ticket because they would win a general election and pick off some Blue states in the offing. And to boot, both of these savy media guys would get their message out even above the bias of the MSM.
