There are lots of horror stories to point to. I remember this column when Ann Coulter said, "California [has been], in fact, a perfect petri dish of Democratic [Party] policies."

I left Philly for Michigan. Then Michigan for Tennessee. After some military wanderings, I ended up in Oregon. Philly takes the cake for taxes, Michigan close behind. As far as political shenanigans, Detroit and Philly have their little competition going. But for sheer left wing nuttery, Oregon takes the cake.

You may find what you think if "left-wing nuttery" in Oregon, but I'd take quality of life in Portland over quality of life in Philadelphia any day. I've lived in both. In every measurable way, Portland Oregon is superior to Philadlephia PA.
