The most aggravating thing ... (Below threshold)1. Posted by Jim Addison | February 14, 2007 1:53 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
The most aggravating thing is that every fMSM outlet is reporting he apologized but, as Jules notes, none can reproduce an apology. He gave the typical Democratic "I'm sorry if you are so stupid as to be offended by my . . . [fill in: disrespecting our troops, comparing them to Nazis, calling them dumb, or whatever latest offense is rendered]" just like Kerry and Durbin.
Then he claimed he realized it was a mistake, a "slip of the tongue," just "as soon as [he]said it."
Oh, yeah? Then WHY didn't he immediately correct himself onstage? Also, this was part of PREPARED remarks for his first day of campaigning - didn't he bother to read them first? Did he not practice the speech at all? Did he have NOTHING to do with writing it - was simply given the script by his handlers as he took the stage, and never saw it before?
Sorry, it doesn't pass the laugh test. He meant it the way it was written - as evidenced by his failure to really apologize and the lies he is telling about it. He just didn't like the way it was received.
