I am in Louisiana and I still have my Bobby Jindal signs from 2002! The Dems treated him so badly and we ended up with the idiot Blanco.
I wonder if he could defeat Mary Landrieu instead? There was a time when the Landrieu name was much more important; the N.O. mayoral race showed how weak it is now.
Jindal has so much potential, I hope he goes very far.

This race will be a no-brainer in several senses.
The biggest reason will be that someone on behalf of the Jindal camp will likely put together a devistating campaign commercial.
The commercial would feature footage of the last Blanco-Jindal debate from 2003, in which Blanco was asked what she would do if a Category 5 hurricane was headed straight for New Orleans.
They could play the audio of Blanco's response contrasted with captions of what ACTUALLY happened during Katrina.
Even though Blanco's on life support anyway for a number of dumb decisions (Katrina, trade missions to Cuba in which she dined with Castro, snubbing Bush whenever he came to Baton Rouge but campaigning for Kerry, etc.), that should put the stake in the heart of her campaign.

I just have to wonder about the 20% who would reelect Blanco.
Seems a fairly high incidence of brain damage . . .
