Time to Cut and Run!

I hate to say, "I TOLD you so!" Okay, maybe I don't. But with the election eight days behind us, Democrats are already calling for surrender and retreat in Iraq - by Christmas.

Dean Barnett at Hugh Hewitt reports:

In a letter dated October 20, 2006 and signed by virtually all prominent members of the new majority, the party stated its belief that "that a phased redeployment of U.S. forces from Iraq should begin before the end of 2006." That's right, 2006 - the year we're currently in, the one that expires in a mere six weeks. In other words, the cutting and running should begin some time in the next month and a half.

Read Dean's whole post at the link above, including the link to the original letter.

Naturally, if the Democrats had made this policy the centerpiece of their midterm campaign, they wouldn't have won. Barely a third of the public wants immediate withdrawal from Iraq.

Unfortunately, those "Blame America First," Castro-hugging, retreat-and-defeat moonbats are now in charge of the United States Congress.

God, help us!
