I thought that the poor anchor was going to choke to death trying to find the words to somehow make "God is great" out to NOT be religious.

The anchor did not attempt to make "God is great" out to not be religious.
The anchor was making a point about how the campaign was not about God, but was modeled after the Wellstone campaign.
If you read Jim Addison's article, you'd think the anchors were "nervous", and "cut off the tape".
So much spin...
The anchors were well composed. Also, the anchors don't "cut off anything". Video like this is selected by the segment producers in advance of the broadcast, is timed, and the anchors know the setup for the story and the last lines in the video clip so they know how to lead in, and when and how the video will end, so they can provide their lead out commentary.
Finaly, all this is managed by the news director during the broadcast as he has his technicians roll the preselected video segment.
Very little is left to chance in a live news cast...
How do I know? I hold two degrees in broadcasting. I spent 7 years in the industry, and I've been on the talent side of the desk, behind the camera, runing the audio board, editing footage, rolling tape, running the switching board, and sitting in the director's chair.
I can't speak to any of the issues Jim raises about the candidates history, or qualifications, and that's not the purpose of this post.
I can say that it shouldn't be odd that a candidate talks about God in a speach. Didn't Allen do that in his concession? In fact, doesn't nearly every candidate do it at some point or another?

Two degree's and not one of them worth the paper they're printed on when it comes to producing a product to better the life of anyone. Now that you have identified your own problem what will you do to correct it. BDS and PEST is no longer an excuse.
I'm having a great day reading articles from around the world on what the democrats 'friends' the terrorist have in store for us, including the democrats. Now that we have no intel programs (gone thanks to the dim traitors and the Terrorists times) to stop them what will the dim's do? Sit on their hands as in the ninetis and pick up what pieces are left? Na, they leave it to someone else to pick up the pieces. Remember, the dim's bragged on Wednesday that they are now in charge so they will have to accept the blame for all of the future attacks, won't they?

Jim Addison, you just got to poor old john, even if he can't read he can watch and listen. But you have to remember part of the brainwashing tactics of the democrats antique MSM that took hold on the lefties. Their brain refuses to reconize any truth. Like a computer programmed to delete certain words, their brain (small as it is) now deletes anything with the truth in it.

I have to respectfully disagree with this statement Scrapiron. They see all the truth, but only recognize the 10% or less that agrees with the secular regressive socialist worldview. The MSM (the propaganda wing of the SRS party) does report the truth most of the time. If they didn't they'd get sued constantly. The fact is, they choose to ingore 90% or more of the truth because if the did report THE WHOLE TRUTH, only about 18% of the population would vote for them.
There are two side to every story, except on the MSM news broadcasts and newspapers.
