Mason-Dixon is releasing a series of polls in the most closely contested Senate races.
So far, four polls have been released.
In Virginia, George Allen is tied with James Webb 43% to 43%.
In Tennessee, Harold Ford leads Bob Corker 43% to 42%.
In Ohio, Sherrod Brown leads Mike DeWine 45% to 43%.
In Montana, Jon Tester leads Conrad Burns 47% to 40%.
As I have explained below, Virginia and Tennessee will stay Republican as long as the GOP candidates run competent campaigns from here on out. Montana is obviously difficult, but, if there is any silver lining, it is that Burns is still within single digits and can win over the large number of undecideds by making Tester an unacceptable choice.
For DeWine, it obviously isn't good news that he continues to trail. However, the margin seems to be decreasing in each poll I have seen on this race (recent polls have shown Brown up six, four, eight, or ten points). Tomorrow morning DeWine will debate Brown on Meet the Press.
Mason-Dixon polls for three other states will be released Monday.

At the very least, things seem to moving in our direction, even if not as fast as we might prefer.
Burns and DeWine have extremely vulnerable opponents. If they can stick Tester and Brown with their past positions, they can pull those races out.
The futures markets for both Allen and Corker remain over 60, while their opponents' contracts are both under 40.

Why in the world would want some disgusting rotten bigot like George Allen to be re-elected to the US Senate? Unless you are a vicious bigot yourself, then I can't imagine why you would support such a candidate. Someone who has called blacks, niggers, calls brown people "makakas" and openly denies he is of Jewish background? It sounds like a hideous combination of self loathing and loathing for other groups of people. If that's the USA you like, that's very troubling.
