In a big break for the Democrat in one of the most-watched "competitive" House races in the country, the VFW's Political Action Committee has endorsed fromer Rep. Baron Hill over incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Sodrel, as Dick Kaukas of The Courier-Journal reports:
Ninth District Democratic congressional candidate Baron Hill yesterday accepted the endorsement of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee.
"I usually don't get real worked up on endorsements because I don't think they mean a lot," Hill said at a press conference in Veterans' Plaza at Market and 10th streets in New Albany. "But this one means a lot to me."
He added, "I am very proud to have this endorsement."
Read the rest at the link above. Hill is thought to be slightly ahead of Sodrel, whom he has run against twice before for this seat (with one win each). This endorsement should give his chances a further boost.
We previously reported on this race last weekend.

Unfortunate, but not surprising. Indiana is going to be a killing field for us this year. Same with Ohio. We just need to minimize our losses in those states. At least Chocola (IN2) and Schmidt (OH2) are up in the latest polls.
Off topic -- has anyone seen the Keystone poll showing Curt Weldon down by 1 in PA7? A POS poll two weeks ago showed Weldon up by 19. A 20 point swing to the Dems in two weeks!? I don't think so.

It was a POS partisan poll. Weldon was never up by nineteen.

POS is very reputable and accurate, partisan or not; I've done a lot of work with them. So I'm confident those numbers were pretty accurate. In any event, there's no way Weldon is behind.
