Republican incumbent Rep. Heather Wilson leads Democratic challenger Attorney General Patricia Madrid in the race for New Mexico's 1st District seat, according to the latest poll from KOBTV News 4:
Heather Wilson and Patricia Madrid's campaigns are both excited about the results of Eyewitness News 4's most recent poll.
Survey USA asked 503 likely voters who they'd vote for in this year's First Congressional campaign.Wilson, the Republican incumbent, leads with 51 percent of the vote. Madrid, a Democrat, trails at 46 percent. Three percent of responders were undecided. The margin of error is 4.5 percent.
Read the rest at the link above. Interesting that Wilson leads by nearly 2 to 1 among white voters, while Madrid holds a similar advantage among Hispanics.
This campaign is high on most Democratic target lists for House seats to take over this year. CQ Politics and Election Projection rate this race as slightly leaning Republican, while the Cook Political report calls it a toss-up.

These polls are before the Foley fall out. Wilson took money from Foley as well, Delay, gee it is hard to find and honest Republican theses days, can't even take campaingn money from your own party without having to return it, cause it is dirty.
