2009 New York City Mayoral Race

After a rocky first 2 years as mayor, in which Mayor Bloomberg raised property taxes to record levels, he has since been quite fiscally conservative. In 2009, due to term limits, he will be unable to run for re-election. A man who will likely run as a Republican for mayor is AOL-Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons. Parsons will be able to self fund, is very fiscally conservative, and has the management experience that is needed to manage a complex budget like New York City has. I hope that Parsons runs, to prevent New York from falling back into the hands of a liberal democrat like Anthony Wiener.

AOL is overrun with crimina... (Below threshold)
Scrapiron:

AOL is overrun with criminals, losing customers and laying off people on a daily basis. Do you really want the man who destroyed a large company as Mayor? Duh.

Time to draft Herman Badill... (Below threshold)
The Exposer:

Time to draft Herman Badillo. He had the GOP nomination stolen out from under him by little Mikey Bloomingidiot.

Whatever is Mike going to d... (Below threshold)

Whatever is Mike going to do to amuse himself when his term expires?

Perhaps he could purchase a small country and name himself King. I'll bet he could put on one heckuva diplomatic reception.
