He should have "created an account" with The Daily Kos like Jane Harmon, then they would back him... Wonder what creating an account envolves? Money? Are candidates on the left paying to be approved representatives now?

Problem is, Lieberman ISN'T a moderate. He's a liberal who takes a pro-American position. That the Democrat party now finds it an unforgiveable sin to take that stance is bone-chilling.

Regardless of who wins, it is hilarious to watch the right try to spin this as some party suicide or personal attack on poor Joe or new evidence of some insanity on the left. If you go to DC for 18 years and forget about your home state and develop a stronger sense of self-entitlement than you have of your constituents beliefs, you risk the chance of losing.
What about the attacks on Chaffee? So unfair to a fine patriot who loves America but won't drink the right wing kool-aid.

Kimyl, I am glad you find it hilarious. I assure you that those in your party who actually have some political savvy (like Hillary) do not. In fact, she is scared to death and hoping strongly for a Lieberman victory.
Your comparison to Chafee shows you do not know a thing. If the Democrats were targetting Nelson in Nebraska (who still votes for the Dems more than Chafee votes for the GOP) it would be different and you would have a fairly decent comparison.
Lieberman is a liberal. He got a ZERO conservative rating from ACU in 2004 (Dodd got a 4). Chafee got a 12 rating last year from the same group and publically told the nation he would not vote for Bush for President.
It is actually our side who finds it hilarious that your party wants to kick out a hardcore liberal because of one issue - which also happens to be a very important issue since 9/11/01.

The one issue is Joe's fealty for George W. Bush. It's one thing to support the war (which several prominent Democrats still do, to some degree, even though most Americans don't); it is another thing to demand support for the President.
If Joe had stood up against Bush on any other issue, he would have an easy time. It is also clear from the campaign coverage and ads I have seen that he is incredulous about his having to be re-elected. He could have made a stand on Social Security, the energy bill, Alito, etc. It is even more maddening given his willingness to call out Clinton for his personal behavior while refusing to talk about Bush's misleading statements or misguided policies.
Chaffee attacks Bush, which disappoints GOP voters. Joe adores Bush, which disappoints Dem voters.
