I just have to wonder about the 48% who "approve" of Stabenow's job performance.
WHAT has she done in the Senate? Can anyone name a single bill or issue on which she took a leadership role? Can anyone name a single intelligent thing the woman has said since taking the oath of office?
If there ever was an argument against popular election of Senators, Stabenow is it - along with the 48% of Michigan poll respondents who are so f-ing stupid they "approve" of her.

48% is low, it could be as high as the 55% of people who don't like Bush who just see her as a stopgap. And of course, aside from being a Dem in a blue state, she might have done some things in DC that appeal to certain voting blocs, even if it did not show up on CNN or Fox News.

Butler, Butler, Butler. That poll is insane, Michigan is in pain due to our economy which they blame on Bush (along with everything else). The candidate that will lift their spirits and capture their imagination is Keith Butler.
