Exactly. For every person that is paying attention now, there are a hundred that don't even start thinking about the elections until after Labor Day.

People forget that upstate NY is more purple than red and that NY'ers (due to nasty winters, springs and falls) tend to completely disconnect from the world until after labor day.
We have a very interesting governor's race coming up this fall, so NY'ers, especially those in the dead economy upstate, will be paying close attention to politics with the focus being on economic issues - very good for a House GOP'er with a solid track record on supporting policies that have led to the economic boom the rest of the country is experiencing.
